Ohio High School Basketball - Cory-Rawson can't hold off Elgin

Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets (Rawson, OH), 48-45 in a league match.

With the victory, Elgin advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Comets host Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH) to face the Rams in a Northwest Central match on Thursday, February 6. The Rams enter the match with a record of 8-12. Upper Scioto Valley lost 59-31 in their recent non-league match against Spencerville (Spencerville, OH)

The Fighting Hornets now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fostoria for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. Cory-Rawson will face a Redmen squad coming off a 49-39 non-league win over Arcadia (Arcadia, OH). The Redmen record now stands at 9-10.
