The Doniphan West Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting DeKalb Tigers to 30 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they travel to Centralia for a Twin Valley game on Tuesday, February 4. Doniphan West will confront a Panthers team coming off a 68-61 league win over Hanover (Hanover, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, DeKalb falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Tigers host Mound City (Mound City, MO) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 18-6. Mound City won 41-30 in their recent non-league game against North Andrew (Rosendale, MO)
