The Hawken Hawks basketball squad (Gates Mills, OH), was nudged 36-34 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH)
With the victory, Kirtland advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Hornets travel to Andrews Osborne Academy (Willoughby, OH) to encounter the Phoenix in a non-league test on Friday, February 7. The Phoenix come into the test with a record of 5-7.
The Hawks (1-18) will now prepare for their test against Orange (Pepper Pike, OH). The Lions come into the Chagrin Valley - Chagrin test with a 4-13 record.
