The Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) basketball crushed the visiting J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado (Lancaster, PA), 57-35 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Upper St. Clair for a WPIAL 6A 2 bout on Monday, February 3.

With the loss, J.P. McCaskey falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Red tornado travel to Hempfield (Landisville, PA) to play the Black Knights in a Lancaster-Lebanon 1 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Hempfield lost 47-43 in their recent non-league bout against Carlisle (Carlisle, PA)
