The Smithfield Sentinels basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Hope Blue Wave to 38 in the Sentinels non-league triumph on Monday.

The Sentinels now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Johnston for a Division II game on Tuesday, February 4. Smithfield will play a Panthers team coming off a 56-28 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Panthers record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Hope falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Blue wave travel to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI) to play the Villa Novans in a Division III game on Thursday, February 6. The Villa Novans go into the game with a record of 3-16. Woonsocket lost 44-16 in their recent league game against Prout (Wakefield, RI)
