The Imlay City Spartans basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Marine City Mariners to 34 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now have a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Almont for a Blue Water Area game on Friday, February 7. Imlay City will confront a Raiders team coming off a 52-23 non-league win over Marlette (Marlette, MI). The Raiders record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Marine City falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Mariners host Roseville (Roseville, MI) to confront the Panthers in a Macomb Area - Gold game on Wednesday, February 5. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 10-3. Roseville won 39-27 in their recent non-league game against Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI)
