The East Providence Townies basketball team scored 27 points and limited the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts to 26 in the Townies non-league triumph on Monday.

The Townies now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Johnston for a non-league game on Friday, February 7.

With the loss, Cranston East falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Rogers (Newport, RI) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 2-2.
