North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett triumphant over Scotland

February 3, 2025: Laurinburg, NC 28352

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), observed Purnell Swett's basketball team overwhelm Scotland by a score of 50-18.

The Rams (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, South View was routed by Lumberton (Lumberton, NC), 49-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Fighting Scots battle the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a challenge, on Friday, February 7. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 46-35 non-league loss to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC).
