The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL) and the host Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL), observed Steeleville's basketball team overwhelm Cobden by a score of 65-23.
The Warriors (17-8) will now prepare for their battle against Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL). The Pirates enter the Cahokia - Kaskaskia battle with a 6-13 record.
The Appleknockers now own a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dongola for a South Egyptian battle on Thursday, February 5.
