Ohio High School Basketball - Alexander thwarts Trimble

The Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH), 54-42 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Meigs (Pomeroy, OH). The Marauders go into the Tri-Valley I test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Meigs went down by Vinton County (McArthur, OH), 71-63, in a league test.
The Tomcats now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Waterford for a Tri-Valley II test on Tuesday, February 7. Trimble will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 60-47 league win over South Gallia (Crown City, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-8.
