New York High School Basketball - Canisius topples Amherst Central

February 4, 2023: Amherst, NY 14226

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY) basketball squad beat the host Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY), by a count of 67-58.

The Crusaders (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY). The Lancers go into the Monsignor Martin outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, St. Mary's defeated Western New York Maritime Charter (Buffalo, NY), 69-52, in a non-league outing.

The Tigers now hold a 15-3 record. They play next when they travel to Iroquois for a Section 6 Erie County II outing on Friday, February 10. Amherst Central will clash with a Chiefs squad coming off a 72-63 league loss to Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY). The Chiefs record now stands at 10-7.
