Logan County Cougars (Russellville, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY), 54-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Logan County upgrades its record to 4-16 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 8-16. Dawson Springs lost 68-59 in their recent non-league bout against Hickman County (Clinton, KY)

Next up, the Eagles play the Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Apollo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 74-56 non-league win over Union County (Morganfield, KY).
