In Saturday's non-league outing, the Livonia Wildcats (Livonia, LA) basketball squad felled the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), by a margin of 46-35.

The Wildcats (5-16) will now prepare for their outing against Opelousas (Opelousas, LA). The Tigers go into the 4A District 5 outing with a 4-9 record.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) in a 1A District 8 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Ascension Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 76-29 league loss to White Castle (White Castle, LA).
