The Belleville East Lancers basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Lanphier Lions to 33 in the Lancers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lancers now sport a 23-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alton for a Southwestern contest on Tuesday, February 7. Belleville East will battle a Redbirds team coming off a 42-39 non-league loss to Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 3-18.

The Lions (16-11) will now prepare for their contest against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers come into the Central State Eight contest with a 19-7 record. In their last contest, Normal University triumphed over Springfield (Springfield, IL), 62-35, in a league contest.
