In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans basketball team scored a good 68-57 triumph over the Belleville West Maroons.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) in a Central State Eight match, on Tuesday, February 7. Springfield Southeast will attempt to move on its 13-14 season record. The Rockets enter the match with a 15-13 record after their 59-44 league loss to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL).
With the defeat, Belleville West moves to 12-13 on the year. The Maroons host East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL) to face the Flyers in a Southwestern match on Tuesday, February 7. The Flyers enter the match with a record of 17-6. East St. Louis lost 60-59 in their recent non-league match against Father Tolton (Columbia, MO)
