Bowie Bears (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), 68-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bowie upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Bears host Riverside (El Paso, TX) to play the Rangers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 12-12. Riverside won 55-33 in their recent league bout against Clint (Clint, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Monday, February 6. Gadsden will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Bulldawgs go into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 64-49 league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).
