California High School Basketball - Liberty thwarts Central

February 4, 2023: Fresno, CA 93722

The Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA) basketball knocked off the host Central Grizzlies (Fresno, CA), 63-52 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Lions (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Deer Valley (Antioch, CA). The Wolverines go into the Bay Valley test with a 5-19 record. In their last test, Deer Valley went down by Heritage (Brentwood, CA), 61-46, in a league test.

The Grizzlies now own a 8-18 record. They play next when they travel to Clovis North for a Tri-Rivers test on Tuesday, February 7. Central will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 71-42 league win over Clovis (Clovis, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 21-6.
