Illinois High School Basketball - Metea Valley thwarts Conant

February 4, 2023: Aurora, IL 60502

The Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL), 57-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (19-8) will now prepare for their test against Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Huskies go into the DuPage Valley test with a 16-11 record. In their last test, Naperville North went down by Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL), 66-45, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 13-11 record. They play next when they host Glenbrook South for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Conant will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 54-43 non-league loss to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Titans record now stands at 20-8.
