Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wayne Memorial Zebras (Wayne, MI), 56-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Glen Lake upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Buckley (Buckley, MI) to play the Bears in a Northwest bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Buckley won 72-51 in their recent league bout against Frankfort (Frankfort, MI)

Next up, the Zebras play the Franklin Patriots (Livonia, MI) in a Kensington Lakes bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Wayne Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 57-36 league win over Churchill (Livonia, MI).
