Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 79-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Point Loma upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Pointers host Morse (San Diego, CA) to clash with the Tigers in a City bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-16. Morse lost 63-51 in their recent league bout against Christian (El Cajon, CA)

Next up, the Foothillers clash with the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills bout, on Friday, February 10. Grossmont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-24 season record. The Norsemen go into the bout with a 15-11 record after their 62-61 league loss to Helix (La Mesa, CA).
