The Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ), 34-31 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Comets (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ). The Raiders go into the Big North - National test with a 22-2 record. In their last test, Ramapo got by Ridgewood (Ridgewood, NJ), 51-48, in a league test.
The Thunderbirds now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Ramsey for a Big North - Patriot test on Tuesday, February 7. Mahwah will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 47-41 non-league loss to Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 15-2.
