Georgia High School Basketball - Jasper County edges McNair

February 4, 2023: Atlanta, GA 30316

The Jasper County Hurricanes (Monticello, GA) basketball nipped the host McNair Mustangs (Atlanta, GA), 47-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hurricanes (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots go into the A D1 Region 5 test with a 11-11 record.

The Mustangs now own a 6-17 record. They play next when they travel to Eagle's Landing Christian Academy for a AA Region 5 test on Tuesday, February 7. McNair will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 76-56 league win over Towers (Decatur, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-16.
