South Dakota High School Basketball - Jones County nips Leola/Frederick

Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Leola/Frederick Titans (Leola, SD), 54-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jones County upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Dupree (Dupree, SD) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-12. Dupree lost 98-89 in their recent non-league bout against Tiospaye Topa (Ridgeview, SD)

Next up, the Titans play the Webster Bearcats (Webster, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 11. Leola/Frederick will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 60-49 non-league loss to Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD).
