Iowa High School Basketball - Knoxville ripped by Newton

The Newton Cardinals basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Knoxville Panthers to 46 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norwalk for a Little Hawkeye contest on Tuesday, February 7. Newton will meet a Warriors team coming off a 62-34 league win over Grinnell (Grinnell, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-2.

The Panthers (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA). The Indians enter the Little Hawkeye contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Oskaloosa was routed by Newton (Newton, IA), 79-43, in a league contest.
