Missouri High School Basketball - Monroe City can't hold off Liberty

The Liberty Eagles basketball team scored 35 points and held the host Monroe City Panthers to 31 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hamilton/Warsaw for a West Central contest on Tuesday, February 7. Liberty will battle a Titans team coming off a 54-32 non-league win over Griggsville-Perry (Griggsville, IL). The Titans record now stands at 20-7.
The Panthers (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Palmyra (Palmyra, MO). The Panthers enter the Clarence Cannon contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Palmyra was nudged by South Shelby (Shelbina, MO), 65-62, in a league contest.
