Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting New Berlin Pretzels (New Berlin, IL), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pontiac upgrades its record to 19-6 on the season. The Indians host Rantoul (Rantoul, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Illini Prairie bout on Friday, February 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-19.

Next up, the Pretzels clash with the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) in a Sangamo bout, on Tuesday, February 7. New Berlin will attempt to upgrade on its 21-5 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 78-57 non-league loss to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL).
