In Saturday's non-league outing, the North Newton Spartans (Morocco, IN) basketball squad felled the visiting River Forest Ingots (Hobart, IN), by a margin of 52-38.
The Spartans (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Frontier (Chalmers, IN). The Falcons go into the Midwest outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Frontier was beaten by Seeger (West Lebanon, IN), 75-41, in a non-league outing.
The Ingots now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Hammond Academy of Science & Tech for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7. River Forest will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 69-35 non-league loss to South Bend Career Academy (South Bend, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 3-12.
