The Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) basketball knocked off the host Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL), 41-27 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hawks (24-2) will now prepare for their test against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Saints go into the Illini Prairie test with a 19-9 record. In their last test, Bloomington Central Catholic notched a victory over Williamsville (Williamsville, IL), 82-71, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 19-6 record. They play next when they host PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central for a Sangamo test on Tuesday, February 7. Pleasant Plains will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 49-36 non-league win over Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Bluejays record now stands at 20-5.
