Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting SPIRE Institute SPIRE (Geneva, OH), 72-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Linsly upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Cadets travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH) to clash with the Redskins in a Ohio Valley AAA bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Caldwell won 67-47 in their recent league bout against Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH)

Next up, the SPIRE clash with the Winston-Salem Christian National Lions (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, February 5. SPIRE Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 30-3 record after their 78-59 non-league win over Skill Factory (Atlanta, GA).
