Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Saint Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Eden upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Monarchs host Encinal (Alameda, CA) to clash with the Jets in a bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 2-9.
