The Appleton North Lightning (Appleton, WI) basketball knocked off the visiting Wautoma Hornets (Wautoma, WI), 50-33 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lightning (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Oshkosh North (Oshkosh, WI). The Spartans go into the Fox Valley test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Oshkosh North went down by Kimberly (Kimberly, WI), 44-40, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mauston for a South Central test on Thursday, February 9. Wautoma will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 68-67 league loss to Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 10-11.
