Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY), 70-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin County upgrades its record to 20-5 on the season. The Flyers host Southwestern (Somerset, KY) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 16-9. Southwestern won 48-36 in their recent non-league bout against Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY)

Next up, the Redhounds clash with the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Corbin will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 57-14 league win over Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY).
