Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Oswego Panthers (Oswego, IL), 41-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Metea Valley upgrades its record to 7-21 on the season. The Mustangs host Naperville Central (Naperville, IL) to clash with the Redhawks in a DuPage Valley bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Redhawks go into the bout with a record of 19-10. Naperville Central won 59-46 in their recent league bout against Naperville North (Naperville, IL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Oswego East Wolves (Oswego, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie - West bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Oswego will attempt to upgrade on its 6-24 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 6-21 record after their 50-24 non-league loss to York (Elmhurst, IL).
