The Saranac Lake Red Storm basketball team (Saranac Lake, NY), was overwhelmed 55-24 in Saturday's league battle with the host Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY)

The Chiefs now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peru for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle on Tuesday, February 7. Saranac will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 54-46 non-league win over Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY). The Nighthawks record now stands at 8-7.

The Red Storm (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY). The Bobcats come into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Northern Adirondack was overwhelmed by Chateaugay (Chateaugay, NY), 33-30, in a non-league battle.
