In Saturday's non-league outing, the Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI) basketball squad felled the visiting Will Carleton Academy Cougars (Hillsdale, MI), by a margin of 39-28.
The Spartans (7-9) will now prepare for their outing against Summerfield (Petersburg, MI). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 14-2 record. In their last outing, Summerfield thwarted Erie-Mason (Erie, MI), 61-42, in a league outing.
The Cougars now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Pansophia Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7.
