The Peyton Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Rocky Ford Meloneers to 34 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dolores Huerta Prep for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 8. Peyton will battle a Scorpions team coming off a 55-22 non-league win over Swallows Charter Academy (Pueblo West, CO). The Scorpions record now stands at 4-1.
The Meloneers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Swallows Charter Academy (Pueblo West, CO). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Swallows Charter Academy was defeated by Dolores Huerta Prep (Pueblo, CO), 55-22, in a non-league contest.
