In Saturday's non-league outing, the Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO) basketball squad edged the host Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO), by a count of 41-34.

The Vikings (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Brush (Brush, CO). The Beetdiggers go into the non-league outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Brush held off Wellington (Wellington, CO), 61-14, in a league outing.

The Broncos now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Brush for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 4. Platte Valley will clash with a Beetdiggers squad coming off a 61-14 league win over Wellington (Wellington, CO). The Beetdiggers record now stands at 6-7.
