Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ridley Raiders (Folsom, PA), 63-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Marple Newtown upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Fightin' Tigers host Penncrest (Media, PA) to clash with the Lions in a Central bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Penncrest lost 46-43 in their recent league bout against Springfield (Springfield, PA)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA) in a Central bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Ridley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 46-39 league loss to Conestoga (Berwyn, PA).
