In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers basketball team scored a close 71-67 triumph over the Climax-Scotts Panthers.
The Fighting Tigers (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mendon (Mendon, MI). The Hornets go into the Southern Central - West contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Mendon was tipped by Quincy (Quincy, MI), 58-51, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Colon Magi (Colon, MI) in a Southern Central - West contest, on Friday, February 7. Climax-Scotts will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Magi go into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 74-63 league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, MI).
