Minnesota High School Basketball - Deer River overwhelms Ely

The Deer River Warriors basketball team scored 96 points and limited the host Ely Timberwolves to 56 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Warriors now possess a 18-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bigfork for a A Section 7 game on Friday, February 7. Deer River will confront a Huskies team coming off a 78-59 league loss to Northland (Remer, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 7-11.
With the loss, Ely falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Timberwolves host Mesabi East (Aurora, MN) to confront the Giants in a non-league game on Friday, February 7. The Giants go into the game with a record of 5-11.
