In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Maine East Blue Demons basketball team scored a good 85-65 triumph over the Elk Grove Grenadiers.
The Blue Demons (7-15) will now prepare for their contest against Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Vikings go into the Central Suburban - North contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Niles North topped Schurz (Chicago, IL), 83-27, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Grenadiers battle the Buffalo Grove Bison (Buffalo Grove, IL) in a Mid-Suburban - East contest, on Friday, February 7. Elk Grove will attempt to better on its 3-23 season record. The Bison go into the contest with a 8-18 record after their 88-62 non-league loss to New Berlin West (New Berlin, WI).
