The Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) basketball were winner over the host Roncalli Cavaliers (Aberdeen, SD), 50-40 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Deuel for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 6. Groton will play a Cardinals team coming off a 63-57 non-league loss to Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, Roncalli falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Milbank (Milbank, SD) to play the Bulldogs in a A Region 1 bout on Friday, February 7. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Milbank lost 66-32 in their recent non-league bout against Hamlin (Hayti, SD)
