In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Grundy County Yellowjackets basketball team scored a big 68-41 triumph over the Van Buren County Eagles.

The Yellowjackets (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Community (Unionville, TN). The Vikings/Viqueens go into the 2A District 9 contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Community was trounced by Cannon County (Woodbury, TN), 75-58, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bledsoe County Warriors (Pikeville, TN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Van Buren County will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 73-54 league loss to Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN).
