The Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) basketball edged the host PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV), 74-72 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Princeton for a Freelance bout on Friday, February 7. Independence will play a Tigers team coming off a 43-39 league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, PikeView falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 5.
