The Jayton Jaybirds nipped the visiting Wall Hawks basketball squad by a final score of 52-45 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
Next, the Jaybirds face the Lueders-Avoca Raiders (Avoca, TX) in a 1A Region II District 15 outing, on Tuesday, February 4. Jayton will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record.
The Hawks (17-11) will now prepare for their outing against Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX). The Indians enter the 3A Region I District 6 outing with a 20-8 record.
