Texas High School Basketball - La Villa holds off South Texas Christian Academy

The La Villa Cardinals basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting South Texas Christian Academy Panthers to 52 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now have a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Freer for a 2A Region IV District 32 game on Friday, February 7. La Villa will confront a Buckaroos team coming off a 73-16 league win over Premont (Premont, TX). The Buckaroos record now stands at 15-13.
With the loss, South Texas Christian Academy falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Juan Diego Academy (Mission, TX) to confront the in a TAPPS 1A District 5 game on Thursday, February 6. The go into the game with a record of 0-7. Juan Diego Academy lost 69-21 in their recent league game against Macedonian Christian (Alamo, TX)
