The Mustangs (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Male (Louisville, KY). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Male prevailed over Ballard (Louisville, KY), 77-74, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Fairdale Bulldogs (Fairdale, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Southern will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 78-46 non-league win over Fern Creek (Louisville, KY).
