The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) and the visiting North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA), observed Southwood's basketball team overwhelm North DeSoto by a score of 64-37.

The Cowboys (12-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwood (Shreveport, LA). The Falcons come into the 4A District 1 challenge with a 12-20 record. In their last challenge, Northwood was routed by Bossier (Bossier City, LA), 71-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Griffins battle the Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights (Shreveport, LA) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 7. North DeSoto will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 13-20 record after their 50-34 league win over Loyola College Prep (Shreveport, LA).
