The Golden Gophers (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Baltimore (North Baltimore, OH). The Tigers come into the Northwest Central challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, North Baltimore was routed by North Central (Pioneer, OH), 42-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) in a Blanchard Valley challenge, on Friday, February 7. Vanlue will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 50-31 non-league win over Perry (Lima, OH).
