In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Chatham Cougars basketball squad scored a tight 53-50 victory over the West Orange Mountaineers.
With the victory, Chatham advances its record to 16-0 on the year. The Cougars host Morristown (Morristown, NJ) to meet the Colonials in a Northwest Jersey - American battle on Thursday, February 13. The Colonials enter the battle with a record of 10-4.
The Mountaineers now own a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Immaculate Conception for a Super Essex - American battle on Friday, February 7.
